New Year, New Start
Is there a better time to start something new (or again?) than at the beginning of a new year? The end of 2024 took a turn that I was not prepared for – starting with Thanksgiving day, our home flooded resulting in us moving during the holiday season. Meanwhile, I also transitioned back to work after having a baby which was absolutely devasting for me. In light of all the recent issues that have taken place in the world, I realize I am very fortunate – I have a roof over my head, a job, and an incredible Mother who will be watching my son during the days I have to go to work. Nevertheless, the stress of everything was quite a distraction from my typical routine and the time spent documenting my workouts diminished. That is why I want to take the time to say…I am back. Although I never “left” my daily workouts, sharing what I do and talking about health and wellness is something I enjoy (and thoroughly missed). Now that I have some semblance of life once again, I will continue to share what I do because – first, even if it helps inspire one person or a new mother to stay motivated, then that is really all I wanted to get out of this. And lastly, it helps me to feel like I am contributing to something and staying on track as well (helping you helps me). With that being said, after some time to reflect and recover from the holidays, what better time than to start off the year with my ins and outs of 2025:
In’s: Listening to my body. Good sleep. More protein. Walks without headphones. Journaling. Daily breathwork.
Outs: Cutting sleep to workout in the morning. Daily high intensity workouts. Blue light before bed. Skipping breakfast. Gossip.
